game changer

left clavicle sheared with sliver fragment
I cant hardly stand the position I'm in until I think about how many ways I could've ended up dead or with serious head trauma.
came down from up there to about where my family is standing
ended up down here 15 feet away after 7 or 8 revolutions
just before my ride to Fletcher Allen
Feel like I've been ran over a few times. My whole core feels crushed. Lost it at about 40mph. Helmet destroyed but glad it did it's job. Looks like surgery and who knows how long off the bike. Maybe I can get on the spin bike in a couple of weeks.

Shit! I'm glad you're OK, relatively speaking anyway, but wow. That really sucks. I hope you heal quickly and are able to get back out on the bike soon, as well. Keep us posted on your recovery.

Yikes man, I hope you heal up stronger than before. I almost lost it on the Stowe side of Smuggs myself once...

get well,
Jim

Hey, Wil - major bummer, man. but, stay positive!! you'll be back on the bike before you know it, so don't rush the recovery. Best wishes,

Patrick

Mike, no surgery yet. I go Friday to find out when. Hopefully sooner than later. This is going to mess up my plans this year.

down the notch on the Stowe side. My brakes could not slow my fat ass and I could not hold the road. Good thing I lost it where I did or I may not have been writing this.

Thanks guys. Be safe out there and never underestimate those helmets. See you out there soon!

So sorry Wil. Take time to heal. Broken clavicle is serious business man, especially broken in half! DO that physical therapy too, it's key! Let us know how you are doing.

Oh man, that hurts. I hate to see that kind of pain, scare, and summer disruption, but very glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been. You're in for a different kind of endurance training now. This will challenge the mind. Use it, and heal fast.

Wil, I have a trainer you can use throughout your rehab period if you want. But I must see a Dr.'s note first! ;-)
